Behavioral changes in cats post deslorelin implantation

Greetings!

My name is Mihaela and I am a student at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Ljubljana. Together with my mentors, I am carrying out a research project on changes in the behavior of cats after the use of hormonal implants (Suprelorin™).

After inserting the implant, there is usually an increase in hormonal activity or "flare-up", which can last up to a month. Thus, we can observe increased sexual behavior, vocalization, urinating around the apartment, etc. A month or two later, there is a period of inhibition of hormone secretion (downregulation), when sexual behavior calms down and cycles are interrupted.

The purpose of this research is to understand and compare behavioral changes in cats between these two key stages.

By completing the survey, you will help us gain valuable insight into the effects of hormone implants on cat behavior.

The survey is completely anonymous and will take about 5 minutes of your time. By submitting the completed survey, you consent to use the data provided for research purposes.

If you have any questions about the study, we invite you to contact us at raziskava.deslorelin@gmail.com.

We sincerely thank you for your cooperation!
