Welcome to the Delphi Study on Mental Health Interventions
This study is part of the MentBox project, an international mental health initiative coordinated by the European Alliance Against Depression (EAAD). The goal of MentBox is to identify, adapt, and promote evidence-based mental health interventions that can be used by national and local decision-makers (e.g., ministries, health authorities, municipalities) across Europe.
We want to ensure that these interventions truly meet the needs of the people they are intended to help. That’s why your voice is essential, especially if you have lived experience with depression, emotional distress or other mental health challenges, or belong to diverse communities. We also welcome the perspectives of individuals who do not identify with these experiences or groups, as all insights contribute to the development of more effective and inclusive interventions.
This survey is being conducted by one of the MentBox partners, the University of Primorska (Slovenia). The study has received ethical approval from the university’s ethics committee.
What does the study involve?
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and consists of three parts:
- Basic demographic information
- Your general preferences and expectations about mental health interventions
- Your thoughts on a few specific mental health interventions we are considering for promotion to health decision-makers (i.e. people who make important choices about healthcare policies and services)
Your participation is voluntary and anonymous:
- You do not need to give your name or any identifying information.
- You can withdraw at any time before submitting your responses.
- Your answers will be stored securely by the research team at the University of Primorska and will be destroyed 5 years after the project is completed.
- The data will be analyzed only at the group level.
- The results from the study will assist the implementation of the MentBox project and may be presented in a scientific journal or conference.
Participation in this survey is not expected to pose any risks; however, the content relates to mental health and includes questions of a personal nature, which some individuals may find triggering or distressing. You are free to skip any questions or stop participating at any time without consequence. If you experience discomfort, we encourage you to take steps to care for yourself, such as pausing the survey, using self-soothing strategies, or seeking support from a peer or mental health professional.
We kindly ask you to complete the survey no later than 28 November 2025.
